Reds seal Moses loan switch
Liverpool Football Club is delighted to announce the season-long loan signing of Chelsea forward Victor Moses.





The Nigerian international will spend the duration of the 2013-14 season at Anfield after passing a medical at Melwood on Monday.
After completing the move, Moses told Liverpoolfc.com: "First and foremost, I'm delighted to have made the loan from Chelsea to a big club like Liverpool.
"The most important thing is for me to be professional about it and I'm here to do a job for the club.
"The target is to get into the top four and for the club to compete in the Champions League - and I'm delighted to be here.
"The manager has done very well and the formation and players here will help me and I just want to gel in, get to know the players and play with them.
"There are a lot of quality players here -they're winning games and creating chances. It's a massive thing for me to be here."
Moses joined the London outfit in the summer of 2012 and made 42 appearances, scoring 10 goals, as Chelsea were crowned Europa League champions last season.
The 22-year-old is the Reds' eighth signing of the summer and the third deal to be concluded today, following the earlier announcements
of defenders Tiago Ilori and Mamadou Sakho.

Brendan Rodgers coy over Victor Moses Liverpool loan




Brendan Rodgers refused to rule out a move for Victor Moses, as speculation over a bid for the Chelsea winger hots up.

Rodgers indicated last week that he was looking for another central defender, while a fresh report has linked the Reds with a loan deal for out-of-favour Moses.

While Rodgers did not clarify his interest, he did play his cards close to his chest when quizzed on the 22-year-old Nigerian.

Rodgers said: ‘We have got targets. There is speculation around many names and while the window is open we will continue to look to improve the squad.

‘We will hopefully come out the back of it with a stronger group.

‘The group I have at the moment has been doing brilliantly and I have every faith, even if we didn’t get any more in, that these players will do really well this season.

‘But the idea is to strengthen it that little bit more and hopefully we can do that.’

LIVERPOOL manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Chelsea forward Victor Moses on a season-long loan.



Chelsea are willing to sell the Nigerian international but want a £2m fee.

Rodgers is hoping to secure a deal on reduced terms as Liverpool have concerns about the forward's £55,000 a week salary.

Moses' chances of regular football this season look bleak at Chelsea after they splashed out £30m to bring in Brazillian Willian from Anzhi.

Willian joins a long list of attacking midfielders competing for a spot in the team, with Moses seemingly behind all of them.

Eden Hazard, Juan Mata, Oscar, Kevin De Bruyne, Andre Schurrle and Willian all block Moses' path into the Chelsea team.

Jose Mourinho has a good relationship with Rodgers and the Liverpool boss is hoping he can use that to bring the forward to Anfield.

Liverpool were also in for Willian with Rodgers expressing publicly his disappointment at missing out on the Brazil international.

Moses joined Chelsea at the start of last season after leaving Wigan for £9m.

In total he made 43 appearances last term, scoring 10 goals.

LIVERPOOL have contacted Chelsea over the availability of their young star Victor Moses



According to the Liverpool Echo, The Reds have registered their interest in the 22-year-old but are yet to move any further with their interest.

It follows Chelsea's acquisition of Brazil playmaker Willian, who looks certain to overtake the former Crystal Palace star in the west London club's pecking order.

The Blues are thought to be willing to let Moses leave on loan for a £2m fee but are not currently interested in letting him depart permanently.

It follows the news that Roberto Martinez was interested in reuniting with his former player at Everton last month, having reluctantly sold him to Chelsea for £9m a year-ago.

Liverpool, Everton, Southampton and West Brom set for four-way fight for Victor Moses
CHELSEA ace Victor Moses IS set for the Stamford Bridge exit door, West Brom boss Steve Clarke has revealed.



Clarke, a former player and coach at Chelsea, has made enquiries about bringing the 22-year-old to Hawthorns.

He's been told that Moses is free to go - probably on a loan deal - but Liverpool, Everton and Southampton are also interested in landing him.

And Clarke fears missing out on the ex-Wigan star.

He said: “Moses is available to come out and he’s a player we would be interested in.

“But I can’t say I’m confident in landing him or any player at the moment.”

Moses is well down the Chelsea pecking order following the arrivals of Samuel Eto'o, Willian and Andre Schurrle.

LIVERPOOL are set to win the £5m battle to borrow Victor Moses.

Starsport understands Brendan Rodgers is close to agreeing a season-long loan for the Chelsea winger.

Everton, Southampton, West Brom and German side Schalke were also keen on Moses, 22.

But a move to Anfield is the player's first choice.

And the Reds are poised to win the race after agreeing to stump up a £2m loan fee.

They are also expected to take on Moses' £55,000-a-week wages for the year. Moses' Chelsea future looked bleak following a string of new signings at Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho recalled Kevin De Bruyne from loan. Andre Schurrle and Willian have also been brought in to further increase attacking midfield options.

The new arrivals left Moses facing a real fight for first-team action after just one season at Stamford Bridge.

Nigerian Moses only joined Chelsea last August.
