ulham boss Martin Jol is trying to pull off a last-minute deal for Southampton midfielder Jack Cork.
Jol has had one bid for Cork turned down in the last 48 hours but wants to go back with around £3million for the 24-year-old.
Former Chelsea starlet Cork was one of the Saints’ key players last season but has found himself down the pecking order this term.
The club’s new midfielder Victor Wanyama is currently ahead of Cork, yet Saints have made it clear to Fulham they do not want to do business.
But that will not dissuade Jol who will hope the Cottagers board will dig deep for him to strengthen his midfield.
