Bendtner back in a Arsenal shirt this weekend according to Danish media

According to reports in Denmark Arsenal outcast Nicklas Bendtner is likely to be brought back into the squad for the club’s visit to Sunderland on Saturday. Due to recent injuries to key players manager Arsene Wenger could be forced to include the Danish international in the squad with the possibility of him starting the game on the bench.
Danish newspaper BT have reported from close sources in England that Wenger could open the door to the forward and include him as one of his substitutes at the weekend. Arsenal are currently down to one recognised first team striker in Olivier Giroud after recent injuries to other players.
Lukas Podolski has been ruled out until the New Year after he picked up a serious injury a couple of weeks ago. Theo Walcott and Yaya Sanogo returned from international duty with injuries and both could miss the Sunderland game. In particular Walcott looks very doubtful after he picked up an Achilles tendon problem in last night’s England game against the Ukraine.
Bendtner hasn’t played for Arsenal since the beginning of the 2011/12 season and has been sent out on loan since then. He played for Sunderland for the remainder of the 2011/12 season and last year he had a disastrous loan spell in Italy with Juventus.
The player arrived in Turin overweight and played in only eight games which were mainly substitute appearances. The Sere A club had an option to buy the forward at the end of his loan spell but declined on this when he was ruled out for the season just before Christmas.
Throughout the summer Arsenal have tried to offload Bendtner but potential moves to Malaga and Eintracht Frankfurt broke down. Realising they couldn't find him a club they named him in their 25 man Premier League squad for this season and they could be forced to turn to him this weekend.
