Premierleague.com users' Team of 2013 revealedMore than 21,000 votes were cast for best Barclays Premier League XI of the calendar year 
After nine days of voting, the Premierleague.com Users' Team of the Year for 2013 has been selected and the poll has drawn together an intriguing best XI.
From Christmas Eve until New Year's Day visitors to the website have been casting their votes on who they believe to have been the most impressive performers
of the calendar year just passed.The
criteria for selection was that all candidates must have played or managed in the Barclays Premier League throughout 2013, thereby
ruling out the likes of Gareth Bale (who was sold by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer), Sir Alex Ferguson (who retired in May), and Dejan Lovren,who signed for Southampton in June.
By using the poll section on our website's homepage players were chosen in the positions of goalkeeper, right-back, left-back, two centre-backs, four midfielders,
two strikers and manager. and today we can
reveal the team that was selected by more than 21,000 votes.Everton are the most heavily represented Barclays Premier League club, with four Blues defenders included among the back five, while the peerless 82 points Arsenal amassed during 2013 meant that two players from the North London side made the grade, in addition to their manager Arsene Wenger.
There were also two players selected from both Manchester City – Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero – and Liverpool – Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez –
and one from the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester United – Michael Carrick.
