Centre-back seals loan move.Sunderland AFC have signed Argentinian defender Santiago Vergini on loan until the end of the season.The 25-year old centre-back, who was on loan with Argentine Primera club Estudiantes from his Uruguayan parent club Atletico Fenix, will spend the rest of the campaign on Wearside.Vergini becomes the second arrival at the Stadium of Light this month and will wear the number 27 shirt.The centre-back began his career in Paraguay with Olimpia before playing in Europe with Italian club Verona in 2011. After a spell with Newell’s Old Boys, Vergini joined Estudiantes in 2013. He won his first cap for the Argentina national team in 2012.
