Transfer News: Cardiff sign Norway forward Jo Inge Berget Cardiff have signed striker Jo Inge Berget, but boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says there is no deal yet for Wilfried Zaha. And Wigan have confirmed that they have accepted a bid from two clubs - one of them Cardiff - for their defender Ivan Ramis.
New Bluebirds boss Solskjaer has already brought in midfielders Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Mats Moller Daehli from Heerenveen
and Molde respectively as he tries to put his stamp on the squad.
Berget will be re-united with Solskjaer, who was his boss at Norwegian club Molde - and where he also played with Eikrem and Moller Daehli. The 23-year-old, who like his Norwegian compatriots shares an agent with Solskjaer,
passed a medical on Thursday evening. "Nothing's been concluded with anyone apart from the Norwegian lad, again, Jo Inge Berget," Solskjaer told Sky Sports News.
"He's a forward, full international who only had four or five months of his contract left so he came here in a very good deal for us.
"He knows the way I want to play, he's a striker,
secondary forward, strong, very intelligent, clever, scored against England in the Under-21s European Championship. He will do well for us."
Berget has won
four Norway caps, but endured an unsuccessful spell with Serie A side Udinese earlier in his career before returning to his homeland
where he has since emerged as one of their best prospects.
