Cesc Fabregas summer sale to Manchester United approved by angry Barcelona supporters

Many Manchester United fans thought the Cesc Fabregas saga last summer was being encouraged by the player to help get him a big new Barcelona contract and more respect at the Spanish club. He hadn't been as appreciated back at the Camp Nou as many thought he would be after his return from Arsenal. Having to fit into a different system and being shunted around the pitch, including spells as a centre forward, hadn't allowed Fabregas to excel.
His standing did improve at the beginning of the season and it looked like a plan well hatched from Fabregas but no new contract turned up, with Barcelona concentrating on spending their salary budget elsewhere. Things have turned sour again for Fabregas at Barcelona and his introduction to the match against Athletic Club Bilbao, in place of Xavi, on Sunday brought negativity from the crowd.
Many Barcelona fans just don't appreciate the local boy in the way he would certainly have hoped for. They feel he 'abandoned' the club for money and then didn't set the world alight when he returned and then, as some see it, let Manchester United rumours continue to suit himself.
Spanish newspaper Sport have covered claims from England that Manchester United are back in for Fabregas and ask fans if they'd be willing to sell for a big offer. Over 80% of 13,700 fans have said yes, they'd be happy with a sale.
Fabregas has a contract until 2016 and Barcelona will either have to give him a renewal this summer, sell him, or prepare for his value to plummet in summer 2015 as he'd only have one year left on his deal.

Manchester United line up new Cesc Fabregas transfer offer

Cesc Fabregas could be leaving Barcelona (Picture: Getty)Manchester United’s proposed deal for Cesc Fabregas could be back on after Barcelona reportedly told the player that they will listen to offers for him.
United made signing former Arsenal captain Fabregas their number one priority last summer, but despite making three different bids, Barca refused to sell.
The deal eventually collapsed and United have been looking elsewhere, but less than 12 months later, it could be back on with Barca said to be ready to part with the midfielder.
According to various reports in Spain, Fabregas has been told that he will be part of a squad clear out this summer – and if a suitable offer arrives he can leave.
