Sunderland players agree to refund match tickets at Southampton 
Sunderland's players have agreed to refund any travelling supporters who paid to watch Saturday's embarrassing 8-0 defeat at Southampton. A statement released on the club's website confirmed that fans who travelled to the game will have their match tickets reimbursed.
Club captain John O'Shea said:
“We win and lose as a team, players, staff and fans, however we wanted to acknowledge and thank the supporters who travelled such a long way to give us their backing and despite everything, stayed with us until the final whistle.”
Despite suggestions from Black Cats goalkeeper Vito Mannone earlier this week that supporters should also receive a refund for their travel costs, this has not been arranged.
