he winger took to Twitter to confirm he had signed a new contract with La Viola. In a statement (in Italian), he thanked his agent and the club and professed his love for the club:
Football-Italia provided a translation: "I’m happy for the renewal. I thank my agent Alessandro Lucci, the Della Valle family, the club as a whole and in particular the President Cognini for his availability. Forza Viola!"
Fiorentina have yet to officially confirm the news, but with the player already announcing the deal is done, an official statement is expected to arrive shortly.
Cuadrado's new contract will repeatedly run until the 2019 season, via Football Italia, with a base salary of ?2.3 million and a ?35 million buyout clause. Dimarzio.com's David Amoyal believes this is an excellent move for La Viola:
