Arda Turan wants transfer to Premier League, says agent



Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan wants a move to the Premier League this summer and has three offers from top English clubs, according to his agent.

The Turkey international has two years left on his contract with the Spanish outfit but agent Ahmet Bulut says he wants to leave Vicente Calderon stadium this summer.

"His intention is to leave Spain this summer," Bulut told Spanish sports newspaper AS. "His will is to leave and to play in the Premier League, that is the path he would like to take to continue his career.

"We are currently in talks with three teams but I cannot reveal the names of the clubs. However, I can tell you that they are the best in England and in European football."

Turan, who joined Atletico in the summer of 2011 from Galatasaray for 12 million euros (£8.5 million), helped the Rojiblancos win the Copa del Rey three years ago and La Liga title during the 2013/14 campaign.

The 28-year-old scored two goals and set up four more in 32 Primera Division appearances to help Atletico finish third in La Liga this season.



Bulut says Turan is also a target for AC Milan and Paris St Germain.

"It's true that Milan and PSG are two of the six teams that are interested in him," Bulut said. "But the Italian team is not among our options because they will not play in the Champions League next season.

"PSG is a possibility although Arda always has the desire to play in England."

TURAN WANTS CHELSEA MOVE

Atletico Madrid midfielder Arda Turan is pushing for a move to Chelsea this summer, according to the Mail Online.

The 28-year-old Turkey international is looking to leave the Madrid club and has a release clause of £29m in his contract.

His representatives have held talks with a number of clubs, including Chelsea and it is believed that Stamford Bridge is Turan's favoured destination.

However, it remains to be seen whether Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are willing to meet Atletico's asking price.

Chelsea are leading the scramble for Arda Turan and are have made an offer of £29million for Atletico Madrid’s Turkish international.
Atletico have two firm bids on the table. The other is thought to be from Barcelona but Turan likes the idea of a move to London.
Barcelona’s transfer embargo would also complicate any move to the Nou Camp.
Chelsea are prepared to pay the 28-year-old winger £150,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge and his direct and industrious style fits the philosophy of Jose Mourinho.
Turan has made it clear he wants to move and Atletico are prepared to sell this summer, four years after signing him from Galatasaray for a Turkish record of £8.5m.
Manchester United and Paris St Germain are also interested. Chelsea will not get a clear run but they seem to have an edge.
They also have a strong relationship with Atletico and recent history of business and are in talks about a return to the Vicente Calderon for Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis, who has not settled in West London.
Atletico have identified Yevhen Konoplyanka as a potential replacement.

Barcelona are confident of beating Chelsea to the signing of Arda Turan with the player expected to complete the £25million move as soon as personal terms are finalised.
Barca coach Luis Enrique requested the 28-year-old Atletico Madrid midfielder be signed before he went on holiday.
It now seems that when he returns to begin pre-season training the captain of the Turkey national side will be under his orders although he will not be able to play for Barca in an official match until 2016 because of their FIFA-imposed ban on registering players.

Turan’s willingness to give up five months of football is not the only extraordinary thing about the transfer.
He had an indifferent season last year and neither his age nor his price appear particularly appealing but although the prospect of his switch to the Nou Camp has raised eyebrows among someBarca supporters it seems Luis Enrique sees something in the fiery playmaker who last year through his boot at a linesman in a cup defeat against Barcelona.
With Barca currently being run by a temporary board until elections on July 18 the deal may still have to wait for a new president to be named before it can officially be rubber-stamped.
Last season’s president Josep Bartomeu appears to have been behind the transfer – giving his manager Luis Enrique what he told him he wanted when he signed his contract extension at the end of last season

Arda Turan’s agent has poured cold water on reports claiming he is on his way to Barcelona.

Spanish newspaper Sport stated on Wednesday that Atleti and Barca had agreed a deal regarding the transfer of the Turkey international, who is looking for a way out of the Calderon this summer.

However, Turan has suggested that that report is wide of the mark. Writing on his Twitter account on Thursday, he said: “There has been a lot of talk about me but the information which has been published is false. I am on holiday, relaxing”.

FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Arda Turan. FC Barcelona reserve the right to re-sell the player to Atlético until 20 July.

The Managing Board of the Club were made aware last week of the request from coach Luis Enrique and from the favourable report from the Technical Committee that Arda Turan be brought in to form part of the FC Barcelona squad. The Committee has analysed the operation, stating that after negotiations that began months ago, there is an agreement for the signing of the midfielder with Atlético Madrid and with the player himself. Once the reports were studied, the Committee has given the go ahead to the operation.

Given that the operation is taking place during the electoral process, the Managing Committee understands that given their powers, as established in the Club’s statutes, are “limited to the necessary and vital activities that allow the club to function normally and protect its interests”, it is crucial for the operation to be structured in such a way that the Club can successfully sign the player requested by the coach and by the Technical Committee whilst at the same time allowing the next Board of Directors to ratify the operation.

With the intention of safeguarding the Club’s interests and respecting the final decision of the President elect and given the necessity of finalising the operation as soon as possible in order not to miss out on signing the player, FC Barcelona have reached an agreement with Atlético Madrid for the signing of Arda Turan for the next five seasons for the figure of ?34m with a possible ?7m in variables.

The agreement includes the option of selling the player to Atlético Madrid for the fixed fee less 10% option costs. This option could be exercised by FC Barcelona up until midnight of 20 July if the next Board of Directors should wish so.

This agreement has been ratified unanimously by the Managing Committee.

The Managing Committee understands that the structure of this operation protects the interests of FC Barcelona and will respect the decision of the president that is elected by the members on 18 July.
