Stoke swoop for Barcelona youngster Moha El Ouriachi Last Updated: 15/07/15 8:30am
Stoke have completed the signing of Moha El Ouriachi from Barcelona. The 19-year-old winger turned down a new contract offer at Barcelona in order to move to the Britannia Stadium, where he links-up with former Barcelona players Bojan Krkic and Marc Muniesa. El Ouriachi, who has played at youth level for Spain and was recently called up by Morocco for their U23 squad, could make his Potters debut in the Barclays Asia Trophy game against Everton in Singapore on Wednesday. Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes said: “He’s excited about joining a Premier League club, especially one that already has two former Barcelona players in their squad.
“Moha has seen the progress made by Bojan and Marc and wants to try and do likewise.”
The move for El Ouriachi comes after Stoke completed a deal for England right-back Glen Johnson, who joined Mark Hughes' side as a free agent earlier this week.
