Sunderland have signed Senegal striker Dame N'Doye on loan from Turkish side Trabzonspor, the Premier League club have announced. The 30-year-old, who will remain on Wearside until the end of the season, began his career in his native Senegal with Jeanne d'Arc before enjoying spells with Portuguese side Academica and Greek clubs Panathinaikos and OFI Crete. He made his name in Denmark with FC Copenhagen, scoring 59 goals in 104 appearances, before moving to Lokomotiv Moscow and then Hull City, where he scored five goals in 15 appearances as the Tigers fought an unsuccessful battle against relegation.
Manager Sam Allardyce said: "Dame will bring something different to our forward options. Having already played in the Premier League, he should have no problems in hitting the ground running too, which is very important at this stage of the season."
The new striker will not be available for this weekend's clash with Tottenham as the club completes the work on his visa application.
