Celtic have rejected a bid from Chelsea for goalkeeper Craig Gordon, according to Sky sources. The Scotland international is one of three goalkeepers Chelsea are considering as a replacement for Bournemouth target Asmir Begovic, according to Sky sources. Gordon has less than six months to run on his contract with the Scottish Premiership champions, but Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted the 34-year-old remains firmly part of his plans. Following Wednesday's 1-0 win over St Johnstone, Rodgers said: "I heard something before the game and I'm not surprised.
"There's lots of speculation about many of our players. It is credit to them that they're performing so well that these great clubs are interested in them. But Craig's very much a part of what I'm doing here. He has really consolidated his game and he sees how we want to play.
"You can see how calm he is. He is 34-years-old, he can go on for a number of years and be a real pil lar of this team."
When asked if Chelsea would be wasting their time bidding for Gordon, Rodgers said: "Yes, of course."
Gordon has been a first-team regular for Celtic since joining the club in 2014 following a two-year spell out of the game through injury.
The former Hearts and Sunderland stopper has won two league titles and two Scottish Cups with the Hoops and has already featured 34 times this season.
Sky sources understand Espanyol's Diego Lopez and Fernando Muslera of Galatasaray are also being considered by Chelsea.
