Leicester have rejected a £38m bid from Tianjin Quanjan for Islam Slimani, according to Sky sources.
The Foxes are not interested in selling their striker, who only signed for the club on Deadline Day in August for a club-record £29m.Sky Sports News HQ understands it would take an extraordinary bid for Leicester to consider a sale, and the club are focused on potentially adding more new players before next Tuesday's deadline. The Chinese Super League club, who have been flexing their muscles around several Premier League players including West Ham's Dimitri Payet, are reportedly prepared to pay Slimani £300,000-per-week. Sky Sports News HQ reported earlier this week that Tianjin were interested in Slimani, who joined Leicester from Sporting Lisbon and has scored six goals in 16 appearances since arriving in England.
He has been on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations since January 2, but will return to Leicester this week following his country's group stage exit from the competition.
