PFA Players' Player of the Year: Eden Hazard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic among nominees

Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante have been named among the six nominees for the Men's PFA Players' Player of the Year award.

The Chelsea duo are joined by Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Tottenham striker Harry Kane, Everton's Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez on the full shortlist.

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez scooped the prize last year, while Hazard won the award during the 2014/15 campaign.

Kante, who was shortlisted last year for his part in Leicester's remarkable season but did not make the top three, is the bookmakers' favourite.

Lukaku, the top flight's leading scorer this term with 23 goals, is battling it out with a number of his fellow nominees for the Golden Boot.

Ibrahimovic has scored 17 goals in his first season in English football, while Sanchez has notched 18 times to brighten up what has been a disappointing campaign for Arsenal.

Kane - the only English nominee in this category - has netted 19 goals despite two spells out with ankle problems.

Kane and Lukaku have also been nominated for the Men's PFA Young Player of the Year award, alongside Dele Alli, Burnley defender Michael Keane, Sunderland 'keeper Jordan Pickford and Man City winger Leroy Sane.

Spurs pair Alli and Kane are both former Young Player of the Year winners, with Alli seeking the award for the second straight season.

Man City's Lucy Bronze leads the contenders for the Women's PFA Players' Player of the Year.

She is joined by team-mates Jane Ross and Jill Scott, Chelsea Ladies' Karen Carney, Birmingham City Ladies' Ellen White and Liverpool Ladies' Caroline Weir, who is also nominated for the Women's PFA Young Player of the Year award.

The five other players in contention for the Women's Young Player prize include Chelsea Ladies' Millie Bright, Birmingham City Ladies' Jess Carter and Man City Women trio Nikita Parris, Georgia Stanway and Keira Walsh.

The 44th PFA awards will be held in the Grosvenor House in London on Sunday, April 23.

The shortlists were finalised after votes by PFA members from 100 clubs across the Premier League, EFL and WSL.

英格蘭職業球員工會（PFA）周四公佈今季英格蘭球員先生候選名單，上季獎項得主馬列斯未能再度入選，反而前隊友尼高路簡迪夥同夏薩特，雙雙位列候選名單，兩人是車路士今季高踞英超榜首的重要功臣，尼高路簡迪今季攔截次數高達105次，排英超第2，而夏薩特則貢獻出14個入球及5次助攻。

今季登陸英超的曼聯前鋒伊巴謙莫域愈老愈可愛，多次為球隊射入奠勝入球，已經在英超轟入17球，遂順利入選；雖然阿歷斯山齊士與阿仙奴的續約問題尚未解決，不過今季仍然交出良好表現，現時合共有18球的斬獲。

熱刺的哈利卡尼就成為6名候選人當中唯一的英格蘭籍球員，此子今季兩度觸傷足踝，亦無阻他替熱刺射入19球，於積分榜力追榜首的熱刺；愛華頓前鋒盧卡古目前以23球的成績，位列英超射手榜榜首，亦順利成章入選候選名單。

同時，哈利卡尼與盧卡古也入選年度最佳年輕球員候選名單，其餘4名候選人分別是熱刺的迪利阿里、曼城的利萊辛尼、般尼的米克堅尼及新特蘭門將比克福特。

得獎結果由PFA旗下會員100間球會投票決定，而頒獎典禮將於4月23日在倫敦舉行。

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has won the PFA Players' Player of the Year award for the 2016-17 season.

The Frenchman secured the most votes from his fellow players and saw off competition from team-mate Eden Hazard, who won the prize in 2015, and Tottenham's Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku of Everton, Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.

Kante has enjoyed another outstanding season and is on course to win a second successive Premier League crown after also playing a key role in Leicester's stunning title triumph last year following his move from Caen.

The 26-year-old, who joined Chelsea for £32m in the summer, was presented with the award at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on Sunday evening.

"To be chosen by the players to be player of the year means a lot to me," Kante said.

"It means the world to be chosen and it's been two beautiful seasons, one with Leicester, and we are in good form with Chelsea. To be player of the year, it's a great honour."

On his move from Leicester to Stamford Bridge, Kante added: "It's a different type of playing, but with the manager, with the players, everything is easy, because we work a lot to be good in the games. It's working very well."

Kante praised the "winning mentality" of Antonio Conte and said Chelsea must continue to fight if they are to secure the Premier League title.

"He [Conte] knows what he wants from the players," he said. "He wants to win, and we work very, very, very hard in training for him. He put a winning mentality into the squad, and everyone wants to give their best for the team, and to make Chelsea win titles.

"We have to fight for six more games. We're going to fight like a final for every game, and hopefully we can win the league at the end of the season."

Chelsea will also face Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 27 and, on talk of a double, he said: "We're going to fight for both competitions. The cup is just one game, and the league six games, and we're going to give our best to win these two competitions."

Kante, who could become the first player to win successive titles with different clubs in England since Eric Cantona in 1992 and 1993, has scored just one Premier League goal this season but he has been vital in Chelsea's charge to the top of the table and the FA Cup final.

Tottenham's Dele Alli crowned PFA Young Player of the Year

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has won the Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year award for the second season in a row.

The 21-year-old has again been in scintillating form for the north London club this season as they challenge Chelsea for the Premier League title.

He won the vote of his peers ahead of Spurs team-mate Harry Kane, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, Burnley defender Michael Keane, Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Alli said: "I'm extremely proud. It's a great honour for me - obviously the second year in a row - but I've still got a lot to do, I've got to keep working hard. I've got to keep improving.

"The big thing for me, after last season, is I wanted to put my chances away more. I got a lot of chances last season that I wasn't putting away. I wasn't as clinical.

"I've still got to improve on that, still had a few chances that I've missed, so I'll keep working on that. But there's a lot of little bits that need improving."

Asked for the highlight of his season, Alli said: "There have been a lot. The main one's probably Chelsea at home, when we won 2-0, just because there was a lot that went into that game."

On Pochettino's contribution to his development, Alli said: "He's an unbelievable manager - and person as well.

"He doesn't just focus on what's happening on the pitch, he works on off the pitch as well to make sure each player's got the right attitude, are there for the right reasons, and they want to fight for the club.

"I think you can see that with every player. We all want to fight for each other and for the manager as well."

Alli has scored 16 Premier League goals, which heading into the weekend meant he was the top scorer in the division who is not recognised as a forward.

His success continues an incredible run for Spurs in this category. They have now won the men's young player award in five of the last six seasons - Kyle Walker in 2012, Gareth Bale in 2013, Kane in 2015 and Alli in 2016. Only Chelsea's Eden Hazard (2014) has interrupted their winning streak.
