Ex-England goalkeeper Rob Green is having a medical at Huddersfield ahead of a move from Leeds. Terriers manager David Wagner has confirmed they have agreed personal terms with the 37-year-old and are hoping to sign him on a one-year deal. Wagner said: "We would like to sign Rob Green. We have agreed personal terms and we have also spoken to Leeds. If he passes a medical, which he will hopefully do today, hopefully we can announce this signing in the next 24 hours." "I think it makes total sense. After Jonas Lossl we have young goalkeepers in Joel Coleman and Ryan Schofield, and I wanted to add this experience to our goalkeeper group. I spoke with (head of goalkeeping) Paul Clements and he said this is the right thing to do. "I met Rob. He is a very good, experienced guy and he knows his role, which I expect from him in the next 10 months with us."
The experienced Green, who represented England at the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa, has played more than 600 league games during his career for Norwich, West Ham and Queens Park Rangers.
But he has not been involved in any of Leeds' Sky Bet Championship fixtures so far this season. He did play in the EFL Cup win over Newport County in midweek.
Green won 12 caps for England and was number one for a time before retiring from international football in 2012.
