Paris-Saint Germain have confirmed Neymar has suffered a fractured metatarsal and a sprained ankle.

Sky Sports News reported on Monday that Neymar would miss the Champions League clash with Real Madrid on March 6 due to the injury he picked up in their 3-0 win over Marseille.

The Brazil international was stretchered off in tears after rolling his ankle following a challenge from Bouna Sarr which left him fearing his season would be over.

Following the injury confirmation, Neymar will be expected to miss the return leg against the reigning European Champions next week, but should recover before the end of the season and the World Cup.

Wayne Rooney suffered a similar injury in May 2006 playing for Manchester United against Chelsea and was able to return to fitness after six weeks - in time for England's World Cup campaign in Germany.

Neymar could be a doubt for Brazil's international friendlies against Russia and Germany in late March.

巴黎聖日耳門（PSG）宣佈，周日在球隊大勝馬賽3:0的法甲聯賽傷出的巴西球星尼馬經診斷後，證實為蹠骨骨裂及右足踝扭傷，PSG方面未有透露尼馬需養傷多久，但有報道指，尼馬需休戰六至八個星共期，意味這名26歲球星將會錯過PSG下周二主場對皇家馬德里的歐聯16強次回合比賽。

去年8月以破世界紀錄的2.2億鎊轉會費由巴塞隆拿加盟PSG的尼馬，至今為PSG上陣30場並射入29球，但他在周日對馬賽的下半場比賽中與對方球員保拿沙亞爭球後失平衡受傷，要由擔架抬離球場。
PSG周一透露，經過超聲波和電腦掃瞄後，尼馬被證實扭傷右足踝和第五蹠骨骨裂，但就未有提到他需養傷多久。至於同日進行檢查的另一傷兵馬昆奴斯哥利亞，則被證實為左腿四頭肌肌肉撕裂。
PSG在對皇馬的歐聯16強首回合以1:2先輸一場。

【now.com體育】西班牙《阿斯報》周二指，骨裂的巴黎聖日耳門前鋒尼馬選擇做手術，將會休息2個月，但教練艾美利很快就澄清傳聞。

巴黎聖日耳門於周三法足盃8強，在主場迎戰馬賽，艾美利於周二的賽前記者會上表示：「尼馬（Neymar）將不會做手術，報道是不正確的。」《阿斯報》在較早時間報道，尼馬因右腳跖骨骨裂，決定做手術，以令自己於世界盃前能夠痊癒，並有時間操起狀態。

Paris St-Germain forward Neymar will be out for at least six weeks and will miss next Tuesday's Champions League last-16 second-leg tie against Real Madrid, according to his father.

The Brazilian, 26, suffered a fractured metatarsal and sprained ankle in Sunday's Ligue 1 win over Marseille.

PSG coach Unai Emery said Neymar had a "small chance" of facing Real, denying reports he needed surgery.
But Neymar senior said PSG know they "will not be able to count" on his son.

He told ESPN Brasil: "His treatment will last six to eight weeks, whether there is an operation or not."

The striker joined PSG for a world record £200m fee from Barcelona last August and has scored 29 goals in 30 games.

"Neymar wants to play every game - he's focused on Real," said Emery earlier on Tuesday.

"I think there's a small chance that he'll be ready for the match."

PSG are 14 points clear of second-placed Monaco in the league and on 6 March will host Champions League holders Real Madrid, trailing 3-1 from the first leg.
