Man City pair don't interest RedknappTottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has rejected suggestions he is close to a deal to sign Manchester City duo Craig Bellamy and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Redknapp, who signed a new contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2013, claimed he was happy with players he already had at the club.
Wright-Phillips has been linked with a £6 million move to a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, as Manchester City seek to reduce their wage bill but Redknapp has dismissed the speculation.
In an exclusive interview, Redknapp told Soccernet: "Why would I be going for Shaun when I have Aaron Lennon?"
Bellamy would be an enticing option if the price was right, and the Spurs boss would not be put off by the reputation of the Welshman, but Redknapp is sure that the figures don't add up to a viable a deal.
Redknapp said: "City bought him for £12 million and the player must be on considerably high wages. I just don't see it happening."
