Werder Bremen General Manager Klaus Allofs Readying For Offers For Mesut OezilGermany star is attracting interest from several top clubs...
Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs acknowledged that the club is bracing for big offers for Germany starlet Mesut Oezil.
The 21-year-old midfielder performed exceptionally for Germany in the World Cup this summer, helping lead the team to a third place finish in South Africa.
The elite clubs in Europe, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, are now interested in a move for one of the rising stars of world football.
Bremen would prefer not to sell their young midfielder but with Ozil having only one year left on his current deal Allofs admitted that the Bundesliga club could be forced to sell.
"I can already think that we will have offers in the next few weeks or just before the transfer deadline from a number of clubs," Allofs told Sky Sports."If something concrete comes, we have a duty to talk to Mesut and his advisors and to see what they want. We will not change our policy. We cannot afford it."
Furthermore, German publication Bild reports that the club have continued discussions with the player over a contract extension, and Allofs admitted that the two parties are yet to reach a resolution.
He commented, "We had arranged a meeting with Mesut, however we found no solution during our discussions. We presented our our options, but the issue was not brought to an end."http://www.goal.com/en/news/15/germany/2010/07/18/2030589/werder-bremen-general-manager-klaus-allofs-readying-for[ 本文被阿清在2010-07-18 23:05重新編輯 ]
