[英超]新特蘭快將簽下韋根後衞Bramble [復制鏈接]

Sky Sports sources understand Sunderland are closing in on the signing of Wigan defender Titus Bramble.

Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has moved to raid his old club for Bramble as he looks to bolster his defensive options.

Sunderland have been linked with a host of defenders, including Schalke's Heiko Westermann, West Ham's Matthew Upson and Sol Campbell, but Bruce has now turned his attentions to Bramble.

Bruce rates Bramble highly having worked with him at the DW Stadium and the former Newcastle man holds Bruce in high stead for helping to rebuild his career after a disappointing spell on Tyneside.

Wigan are believed to be ready to cash in on Bramble with the 28-year-old having just a year to run on his current contract and any new funds would allow Roberto Martinez to strengthen his squad elsewhere.

Bramble is believed to have travelled to Wearside on Tuesday to hold talks with Sunderland after they agreed a fee with Wigan

由於加納國腳文沙受傷，黑貓未能從里昂買斷，以防今季失去後防大將，領隊布魯士率先簽入中堅，增加調動兵源。

新特蘭於周二下午接觸韋根，雙方情投意合，火速成交。

Wigan Athletic defender Titus Bramble expects to complete an $8,5 million transfer to SUNDERLAND later today, to be reunited with manager Steve Bruce.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce was last night putting the finishing touches to a £1.5million swoop for defender Titus Bramble.

Bramble, 28, started 35 Premier League games for the club last season but it is reported that Wigan agreed a fee in the region of £1 million late on Tuesday night.
