Maicon keen to join Madrid, but also happy to stayInter Milan defender Maicon claims that he would love to be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, but has no problem staying in Italy if an agreement cannot be reached.
Maicon, 28, is viewed as the world's best right back and has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu ever since Mourinho arrived in the Spanish capital. However, a deal has been held up by Inter's insistence over the Brazilian's price - valued at around £30 million - which Real are not keen to meet.
"The deal is delicate,'' he told Radio Globo. ''Before I went to the World Cup I spoke with my agent and Inter. If I go then I will do it with my head high and I would be happy either way.
"With Inter I have a contract until 2014. Madrid? I have already worked with Mourinho and I would like to be coached by him again. I would go to Madrid, but it doesn't depend on me.
"I would like to stay at Inter. I would not be frustrated as the club have given me visibility on the international stage. It depends on the clubs."
