Besiktas are set to complete the signing of the highly rated attacker next week, NTV Spor reports.Besiktas are determined to add a big name to their squad in the summer transfer window and have made the striker, who is 32 this week, their primary target.
Forlan joined Atletico from Villarreal in the summer of 2007 and has since made over 100 official appearances for last year's Europa League winners.
Nevertheless, he has been struggling to find his best form since the 2010 World Cup and has lost his starting berth at Atletico in recent weeks following a bust-up with coach Quique Sanchez Flores.
