Besiktas are set to complete the signing of the highly rated attacker next week, NTV Spor reports.Besiktas are determined to add a big name to their squad in the summer transfer window and have made the striker, who is 32 this week, their primary target.
Forlan joined Atletico from Villarreal in the summer of 2007 and has since made over 100 official appearances for last year's Europa League winners.
Nevertheless, he has been struggling to find his best form since the 2010 World Cup and has lost his starting berth at Atletico in recent weeks following a bust-up with coach Quique Sanchez Flores.
Sanchez Flores is leaving the club at the end of the season, but Forlan also looks set to depart and
Turkish agency Ajansspor say the Uruguay striker will put pen to paper next Wednesday at Besiktas in a deal that will reportedly cost the club a fee of ?10 million.The parties involved in the move have yet to comment on the transfer, but
