Liverpool have confirmed that they have rejected an offer from Chelsea for their star striker Fernando Torres.

Fernando Torres has been sporadically linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge
"Chelsea have made a bid for Fernando which has been turned down," a Liverpool spokesman told The Times. "The player is not for sale."

Blues to beat Baggies to Nigeria star

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish is set to sign Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins in a surprise loan deal today – snatching him from under the noses of neighbours and relegation-battle rivals West Brom.

McLeish’s club offered a £500,000 loan fee to Russian side Rubin Kazan and will pay the ex-Newcastle star's wages for the rest of the season.

Martins would come into the attack to help Blues' fight for survival and could also go into their Carling Cup final side.

He had been in talks with Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo, but Birmingham have put together a better package - Albion were offering only a £250,000 loan fee.

Curtis Davies will complete £1.75m move from Aston Villa to Birmingham

Curtis Davies will join Birmingham City today for £1.75million. The former West Brom captain, will become part of a select band of players to have represented all three west Midlands clubs when he leaves Aston Villa.
An injury to Scott Dann has left Alex McLeish short of cover in defence and he has moved ahead of Leicester City to secure his man in a deal that could eventually reach £2.5m.

Davies' move is not conditional on Seb Larsson moving in the other direction. Villa remain interested in the Sweden international who may now stay having reached the Carling Cup fina

期後簽左collins同dunne返黎
加盟第一季打得好好.. 所以c.davies 都搶唔到位..
其後仲要外借去李斯特城
