Hirving Lozano, the Mexico international, could become the latest Man Utd transfer in a busy first summer for new manager Jose Mourinho.



Pachuca forward Hirving Lozano will join Manchester United after the Olympics, according to his father-in-law.

United have scouted the 20-year-old Mexico forward in recent months and Pachuca's vice-president claimed the club is in talks to sign Lozano, nicknamed 'Chucky' in his homeland.

Now Lozano's father-in-law has claimed the Mexico international will head to Manchester after El Tri defend their gold medal at the Rio Olympics.

“Yes. It’s all done, just missing some details and after the Olympics, the deal will become official,” Lozano’s father-in-law told Futbol Entre Lineas . He added two weeks ago he had contacted relatives living in London for information on how to open a bank account in the UK.

Lozano has won seven caps for Mexico and made four appearances in last month's Copa America in the United States, where they were walloped 7-0 by eventual winners Chile.

"Already there is negotiations with that team [United]? Yes," Pachuca vice-president Andre Fassi told ESPN . "There is still nothing closed though."

United chief scout Jim Lawlor - who unearthed Javier Hernandez - had reportedly been monitoring Lozano, as well as his teammates Erick Gutierrez and Rodolfo Pizarro.

Three months ago, Pachuca president Jesus Martinez revealed United had been watching Lozano.

"[The chief scout] has been coming here to do special reports on our players, but especially Chucky," he said .

"We would love it if he had to go that it would be to a team like Manchester United or Porto."

Lawlor extensively scouted Hernandez six years ago before he helped United complete a £6million deal for the Chivas Guadalajara striker.

Hernandez scored 59 goals from 157 United appearances and won two Premier League titles before he was sold to Bayer Leverkusen by Louis van Gaal last year.
