HAMMERS MAINTAIN STRIKER SEARCH
West Ham want to sign at least one striker this summer, according to Sky sources.
The Hammers were close to signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City for £25m but ended their interest after manager Slaven Bilic decided against completing the deal.
They remain in talks to sign former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen, but the deal is being delayed because the Mexico international is asking for £140,000-a-week.
West Ham were also interested in signing Cologne striker Anthony Modeste - who has now joined Tianjin Quanjian - and Villarreal striker Cedric Bakambu – who signed a new contract at the La Liga club on Thursday.
