West Ham United In Shock Move For Brazil And Milan Superstar Ronaldinho - Report
West Ham United's hunt for a marquee signing this summer has taken another twist after it was revealed they have opened negotiations with AC Milan over striker Ronaldinho.
According to The People, Hammers owners David Gold and David Sullivan are entertaining the idea of bringing the two-time 'World Footballer of the Year' to Upton Park.
Ronaldinho only turned 30 in March and is reportedly available for just £6 million, however his excessive wage demands would still be in excess of £90,000-a-week.
Several Premier League clubs have been sounded out about the Brazil international, but it is believed the Hammers are the only side to show any real intention of making an offer.
Milan are keen to offload the former Barcelona playmaker due to financial restraints put in place by chairman Silvio Berlusconi, who wants to sell Ronaldinho in a bid to write off his £150,000-a-week wage demands.
Ronaldinho was told earlier this week by new coach Massimiliano Allegri and director Adriano Galliani, that he was welcome to finish his career at the San Siro based club.
However, having been linked with a return home to club side Flamengo or to join David Beckham at MLS side LA Galaxy, this latest development could signal a summer transfer is in store for the former World Cup champion.

David Gold wants Beckham to lead club to Olympic Stadium...
West Ham United want David Beckham to return to his East End roots and end his playing career at Upton Park.
The club's owners David Gold and David Sullivan have asked Beckham to return to London and lead the revolution that will see the Hammers move into the new Olympic Stadium by 2013.
The former England captain has been plying his trade with LA Galaxy and AC Milan in the past few seasons, but could be tempted by a return to the Premier League.
「David Beckham could play a massive part, because of his roots, in helping West Ham [United] win the Olympic Stadium,」 co-owner David Gold told the Sunday Express.
「And maybe he can still play for us in the autumn of his career. For him to join a club like us and help us bring another dream to fruition would be perfect for everyone. We want him aboard.」
Although manager Avram Grant has already brought in several players, the Hammers are continuing their search to secure a marquee signing this summer and have been linked with the likes of Ronaldinho after missing out on Thierry Henry.
Club owners Gold and Sullivan have been long-time admirers of Beckham, having made an initial enquiry into his possible signing back in January.
However, having failed with their initial bid to lure him to east London, the pair believe this latest project will be enough to persuade the Manchester United legend to turn his back on MLS.
